Is the audience in control? Certainly, the trio's themes are chosen at random, but the musicians' imagination defies all predictions. Jean-Jacques Birgé invited Pascal Contet and Antonin-Tri Hoang to free themselves from styles and categories, composing instant scenarios whose suggestive power gives everyone the freedom to make their own cinema. It's a music of parti-pris that plays with contrasts, loves surprises and knows only how to share.
