about

Music : Birgé-Vitet-Gorgé
Recording & mix : Birgé, Studio GRRR, 1980

The mixing of incongruous materialthe editing of very short radio extracts (several hundreds in a few minutes) remind us of the sound and picture zapping which the Drame has been doing since 1976 (Birgé has been producing this pre-pluderphonics since 1974).
Here the social landscape appears clearly under the soundscape. In this version of Perfect Crimes, Vitet speaks backwards and the tape talks forward. The coda, gunshots recorded in the streets of Paris while testing new tie-pin mikes, is live material.
