about

Extract of a studio session for a documentary film, this piece owes much to guitarist Philippe Deschepper, trombonist Yves Robert and drummer Éric Échampard who Birgé had gathered in the spirit of conviviality that has always animated him. Understanding that the road would be long, he founded GRRR Records in 1974, and said that the two most important factors have always been perseverance and solidarity. Playing once again on the quantum effects he loves, he anticipates the theme by murmuring a waltz which punctuates this period where he finally found a balance between his incredible workaholic energy and a salutary serenity.

lyrics

As I am a bit funny
Stunned by the dance
I can't feel my feet anymore
I’m even out of my depth
And to the package of
Advancing life, I oppose
The liberated loves
Of maturity

As I am a bit fancy
There is meaning in words
No need for wine glasses
Just six-stanza verses
To toast together
At this rebirth
Rejecting the worms
Of our six feet under
