about

After being one of the first synthesizer players in France, after initiating the return of live music to accompany silent movies in the 1970s, inventing the “music about” and what would later be called plunderphonics, after laying the foundations of sound design in multimedia, Birgé is once again a forerunner with his meteorological artworks, where small-scale cloud control is beneficial to market garden farms. The death of the fly refers to one of the first pieces composed with Francis Gorgé in 1971, But who will play the role of the fly?, where the insect directed their game by landing on the words of an open book.
