about

Instantaneous compositions recorded on January 14 2024
at GRRR Studio by Jean-Jacques Birgé

in the order which they have been played
with the audience participating

Antonin-Tri Hoang has invented a protocol to spark our imagination. The musical mantalism experiment consists of having someone in the audience listen to one minute of music taken at random from a 5-hour playlist, and asking him or her what it evokes in him or her, avoiding musical terms. The volunteer is the only person to hear it. The musicians will then play his or her explanation.

54 minutes
